Work experience
I am managing customer implementations of component content authoring and management tools in major corporation primarily within finance, legal, pharma and aerospace. Or in plain language, I help big companies with truckloads of documentation write smarter and make their knowledge and information more available and accessible.
I am leading a DITA XML implementation that single-sources content to technical documentation and marketing collateral. I have been leading the project through content audit, tools selection, tools implementation, content conversion and content opimization. Also, I am writing technical documentation and marketing collateral.
I was involved in LEAN projects that were seeking to standardize production processes in Novo Nordisk. I was driving process mapping workshops as well as criticality analysis workshops. I was writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manual as well as IT processes.
I was developing user assistance for IP based radio systems (both infrastructure and terminal management). Also I was leading a project team responsible for implementation and configuration of tools used by technical writers in Copenhagen, Krakow, Chicago and Penang. In this work I was responsible for strategy, training and tools for implementing DITA XML into the toolbox.
I was responsible for external communication such as development of news letters, white papers and user assistance products, and I was assisting the sales team in text production for marketing material. I developed and implemented new standards for written user guides across all Tabulex products. In addition I was performing user training and developing courseware.
Apart from teaching Danish and English, I was providing IT support and training for the school staff.
Primarily I was working with response to written support requests from customers. Among other things I developed a system and process for template based replies to customer e-mails. My very first venture into single sourcing information.
